The Wine
This is the FIRST harvest of the FIRST Grenache vineyard in Casablanca Valley. Too many people advised us not to plant such variety here, so there could be no better start for this stubborn and so much awaited wine! 2018 is a spectacular vintage, the season marked by a colder climate, slower ripening, enhancing the quality of the hand-picked grapes. We harvest on May 1st, destemmed and cold-soaked the grapes for 7 days at 5°C. Fermentation temperature between 22 and 25°C and then a new maceration. Aged in new and used barrels in our shipping container cellars, naturally maintained at perfect temperatures for 9 months, when it was bottled unfiltered. Over time, it may show deposits at the bottom.

- 94 Points Rojo cereza oscuro con violeta. Aromas de fruta roja típica, madura, intensa. Boca compacta, dulce, amable, jugosa, larga. (La Cav)
- 92 Points This is a delicious grenache that shows blueberries, orange rind and plenty of herbal complexity with sage and basil. Medium body, some really good tannin bite and a well delineated finish with zing. (James Suckling)
